Arrival day, Day 7 and13: Ilboru Safari
Lodge: |
|
Feel yourself at one with the
African environment without
compromising modern comforts. Then,
imagine you are nested within a
mature and colourful surrounding. You
are visualizing Ilboru, where we
have taken the trouble out of local
tradition and the repetition out of
accommodation. The result: a
sanctuary that leaves you content on
every level.
Rest easy. We will cover all needed
details for your stay and beyond. If
you have special dietary
requirements or requests, we are
happy to cater to your needs. If you
have any handicapped requirements we
will assist you. We can also give
travel preparation tips or arrange
transport from Kilimanjaro and
Arusha Airports. Simply let us know
how we can further accommodate you. |

Day 1 and 2: Lake Burunge Tented Camp: |
|
Only 10minutes away from Tarangire
National Park the 16 Luxury Tents
are located in a shady bushland
grove, with spectacular views onto
Lake Burunge. Its main building
offers a central lounge, and bar
dining area with a raised wooden
deck. This elevated platform is the
ideal venue for guests to relax and
enjoy a sun downer whilst the sun
disappears over the lake, or to
simply sit and enjoy the warm fire
place. |

Day 3, 4 and 5: Serengeti Serena
Safari Lodge: |
|
Set
high on the saddle of tree-clad
ridge commanding panoramic views
over the endlessly rolling
reaches and volcanic reefs of
the Serengeti, the Serengeti
Serena Safari Lodge is the
ultimate fusion of traditional
African architecture and
world-class style. Drawing its
inspiration from the circular
‘Rondavel’ dwellings and winding
paths of a traditional Maasai
village, the Lodge features
thickly-thatched, stone-built
rooms, spaciously set amongst
groves of indigenous trees that
are cooled by sparkling streams
and papyrus-fringed ponds. |

Day 6: Ngorongoro Serena Safari
Lodge: |
|
Perched on the jagged rim of the
crater, wreathed in morning
mist, camouflaged in river-stone
and cloaked in indigenous
creepers, the Ngorongoro Serena
Safari Lodge is a triumph of
ecological and architectural
fusion. Sensitively constructed
so as to take nothing from its
environment whilst affording
endless vistas over the
heat-shimmering reaches of the
crater below, the clustered
boulder-built buildings of the
Lodge hug the crater rim, linked
by rope-lashed timber walkways
that skirt the buttressed roots
of ancient, liana-hung trees. |

Day 8 to 12: Camping on the Mountain: |
|
There is no
better way than a camping accommodation to
truly experience the African night on
Mt. Kilimanjaro. After
the excitement of a long day hiking,
you reach your campsite where
another adventure begins. As night falls, the
heavens come alive with millions of
stars that seem so close; you could
almost pluck them from the skies.
